SolidEngineer AB is one of Scandinavia’s largest resellers of the SOLIDWORKS application suite in CAD and PDM technology and we have been in business since 1996 with a system based on SOLIDWORKS technolgy. SolidEngineer is available at 6 locations in Sweden. The business was founded in 1996 and today we are 35 employees. We have representation in Gothenburg, Huskvarna, Taby, Vasteras, Karlstad, Helsingborg and Sundsvall.
SolidEngineer has a broad skillsbase to offer our clients: business analysis, project management, implementation assistance, training, ongoing support, etc. Through our partners, we also offer expertise in product modularization, productconfiguration, network technology and hardware issues. Our business is divided into four business areas:
- CAX/PLM – SOLIDWORKS based software and services. Our services include technical support, consulting efforts and class training.
- Production – Geometrics based software and services. We can provide CAM/DFM/DNC solutions enabling high effiency in your production environment.
- ECAD – SOLIDWORKS based software and services. The products are based on the SOLIDWORKS Electrical platform.
- Business development – Our min focus is to increase profitability with enhanced usage of internal resources. Our senior business consultants have both a technical and financial background
- 3D printer – Mark One, worlds first carbon fiber 3D printer
SolidEngineer has grown steadily since our establishment in 1996 and turned a profit every year. We have been among Sweden’s successful gazelles twice (2001 and 2003). SolidEngineer has grown organically over the years and the investments made by equity. The company has no debt and is financially strong. The company is privately owned with a stable ownership structure which has contributed to the success factor for SolidEngineer. Our investments have been done in our consulting department enabling highlevel skills in PDM project management. Our turnover last financial year was approx. 50 MSEK.
SolidEngineer has an extensive support operation. Our Hotline support means that our customers always have direct access to our proffessional and certified support team. Our support department does also provide an operator support just in case of overload. This enables our engineers to be notified during support. It is also possible to send email to our support which generates receipts with unique identities. All cases are logged in the SolidEngineer SDB which is our support database.
Customers are automatically notified via email when the case gets logged in the database. Our ambition is that the database must be opened so that our customers can track the status directly with their own login in the support database. This facilitates the assessment of training needs, skills, and also how much you use our support. Our customers also have a direct access with a SDB-login in order to have the opportunity to supervise their own activities and SolidEngineer´s response to these.
You will also have access to remote support via a so-called GoToMeeting solution. This means that you through our support can have direct access on your servers or your clients, which means that you will have the opportunity to receive support and maintenance directly from our support inside your environment. This technology avoids unnecessary travel expenses and is also a part of our sustainability work as a company. If SolidEngineer for some reason is unable to resolve a technical problem, we can work directly with SolidWorks and resources in R&D at our disposal if needed. For urgent matters, we always have our account manager involved in order to secure attention to your success.
